I'm new to this forum, and really just scanned the rules, so am probably breaking one. I love my realtor. He's awesome. DOn't know if he'd appreciate this description, but he's a southern, laid-back, good-ol' boy (but not too hick), whom I'd bet loves Jimmy Buffet. He is totally up front with us, and very friendly. .
And, no, there's nothing wrong with wanting to live in a nice place. I moved from Richmond VA, with similar neighborhoods, and it is hugely important to ask. Tact goes a long way in the South.

Just wondering how it is going for you? We've been here, in Wake Forest, for 2 years...also from Long Island. I know how hard it is to leave family and relocate to a place you are unfamiliar with. We counted totally on our Real Estate person and she was awesome, we love our location.
