Red face Sorry...

I try to be as condensed as poss. with this computer stuff.

I was talking about Clayton and the nightlife...I thought that was the question??? Did say that Raleigh was more geared to that. But because I am older than the regular college student in Raleigh, was talking about more conservative places to go.

You are right...I wasn't talking about the outer border of Raleigh - didn't make that clear enough either I guess. I meant the city itself...not outside the beltline. I worked all over Raleigh, inside and outside the beltline, but was really referring to the actual "city". I used to live in Wake Forest where the north border of Raleigh has expanded a little. It did take about 15 mins. to get to downtown Raleigh so, of course, I agree with you!

As far as Raleigh being a "city" like DC....hmmmm I guess we can agree to disagree on that one. Worked downtown at a law firm and my dad worked at VOA. Can be scary if you don't know the place. However, I did and was more sensitized to it. But here, I wouldn't think twice about walking on the street alone at night - even in downtown Raleigh (comparatively speaking...). And it takes about 45 mins to an hour to get through the city of DC depending on where and if you drive like a madman. Guess I have a nasty taste in my mouth about the place. Nice to visit "but wouldn't want to live there (again)!!

Again, sorry...dont' want to ruffle feather. I should have been more clear!!

oh...thanks MrsSteel about the mall name! Only been there twice (one being last weekend forthe body exhibit). I'm definitely not an expert on Durham. It is too far out for me! I'd rather stop a little closer to home. (Besides, WalMart is my mall .

Not saying that the malls aren't very nice here. Especially Southpoint in Durham (he he)

Thank you!!!! We love it. It's getting much more built up now. When we moved in we were the only folks down here on this part of our road. Now we have tons of neighbors and more houses for sale along with more lots yet to clear.

The street is a U off of another road in the subdivision so while not a Cul de sac...its the next best thing (to us).

Lauren
