Maybe a few street scenes...

North Hills is just outside the I-440 Beltline in North Raleigh, NC. The area is experiencing a resurgence in real estate interest due to the John Kane development of the Lassiter and the North Hills Shopping Center. 1960's ranch homes are nestled on large, wooded lots with mature landscaping.

Default Hey North Raleigh Guy--Great photos!

Hi,
Are the historic areas "walkable towns?" I am thinking about relocating in the Raleigh area and the homes in your photos look wonderful...are these areas affordable?

These photos made me homesick for Wilmington, NRG. I grew up in the Historic overlay which looks so much like these shots of yours. Thanks, Guy.

I stumbled upon the shops there, across the street from all of the nice eateries -- any and all of which are good, by the way! -- and every few months, I like to peruse the goodies in the antique shops. I even found several things I could actually afford when I first moved here two years ago.

It is a beautiful area.

Here is a video I took as I was driving into the Ravenstone subdivision in Durham:
Ravenstone Entrance Video 5.7MB
(We're really not driving that fast, its sort of an optical illusion as I was recording on a low quality setting so it skips frames).

I just realized you posted pics of my dads neighborhood (more towards the college street names section). All of the lots are around .33 acres. I love the mature look to the neighborhood and the landscaping people have (often a landscaped island in front yard). The real estate has definitely gone up with the new North Hills.
