Wow, memory lane is right. I grew up visiting my grandparents in the 60s there, and remember going to church with my grandmother at Myrtle Underwood. We lived there in 1966-67, went to Myrtle Underwood for the 4th grade (Mrs. Gaddy! Just flashed on me. .. ). They lived next to Hayes Barton Methodist on Stone St, where the educational building is now.
Is Little Mt. Vernon still there? (You KNOW what I mean. . . )
Thanks for the pictures.

You have to be talking about the Alfred Williams house. It's still there.

Post your pictures of Fall in the Triangle here.
Pretty soon the Triangle will be exploding with fall colors. I hope to get some photos over the next few weeks as we move through October into the cooler month of November and the leaves begin to change. If you have any picutres of Fall in the Triangle please post them here!
Here is a picture I recently took during a visit to Falls Lake. No foliage change of note (mostly pine trees) but I do enjoy the fall flowers we have in the area.

The drought stricken sweetgums and red maples are putting on an early show this year. There is a nice deep red sweetgum off of 540. Too bad I'm going too fast to take a pic.
