Default Options for Internet?

I am moving to a new development in Durham (27712). Verizon does not have FiOs or DSL to my new address. What are my other options? TW? What else?
TIA, Judy

If you can't get DSL, then TW is going to be your only other option. There is also satellite internet, but I've heard it's expensive and slow.

Default Earthlink

You can get Earthlink on the T-W cable if you prefer. That's what I chose for our new setup. It was recommended to me.

I ordered digital cable from T-W and then Earthlink internet access (which uses the T-W cable network)

TWC/Earthlink Cable (fastest service for best price)

Satellite is ok, but the dish is a bit bigger than a digital TV dish. It is fairly expensive and while DL speeds are good, upload speeds are slow.

The other option is broadband via the cellphone companies. Verizon, Sprint, ATT all have 3G speeds. If you have only one computer that needs access you can just use a USB dongle or card. It you have more than one computer you can get a Linksys Router that will do wired and wireless.

If you play games or anything bandwidth intensive, cable is the way to go.

KCouture is on a distinguished road
Definitely don't get satellite internet. When we first moved to Raleigh, we tried satellite (through WildBlue) and it was absolutely terrible. It was extremely expensive, and whenever the weather was even remotely close to bad (heavy clouds, rain, snow, etc) the internet wouldn't work. It also was very slow, even on their fastest plan.

I'd recommend either Time Warner Cable, or Verizon. Verizon offers high speed internet at pretty reasonable prices.
