We are finally here and looking for subdivisions to look into in the north Raleigh area. We have looked around the crabtree valley area and the Falls of Neuse area and love both but are having trouble finding newer homes in our price range of 200 to 250. Anyone have suggestions.

Holly Springs will also have some variety in that price range.

What do you consider "newer"? I can't think of anything in those two general areas that would be brand new at that price point.

New for under $250k? N. Raleigh is not for you then. Maybe Holly Springs or Fuquay or Clayton or something.

I would say newer for me is under 10 years. What areas would be similar to N. Raleigh round 250k that also have very low crime rates?

You can find some smaller homes on smaller lots in Falls River built around 2000 for that price. There is even a SFH in Bedford (built 2005) located on All Points View Way for your max of $250K. Again it is on a small lot. I would look to Durant Trails and Durant Trace for homes with larger lots and more mature landscapes at that price point in North Raleigh.

You can also find homes built around 2003 in that price range in Cornerstone Park which is over by Leesville Road. I don't know that neighborhood but it popped up when I ran a quick search online.

Depending on size of home and lot... some newer homes include subdivisons in N. Raleigh as: Delta Ridge, Cornerstone Park, Long Lake, Durant Trails and maybe EastWinds. These homes are not on large lots but would fit your other criteria. There are others going a little higher.. maybe closer to 300K.. that would be Wyngate, Falls River, Windsor Forest, Alyson Pond are a few I can think of at the moment.

Default Longview Park!!

Please check out my neighborhood!!! Longview Park area, near Enloe High School. Ignore anything negative you may have heard, and at least check it out. There are a zillion homes for sale here. There is one company that buys old homes and completely flips them: brand new low energy appliances, hardwood floors, drought-resistant landscaping, huge yards. We bought one and we love it. Inside the beltline for under 200K!!!!!!

If you want to travel to wake forest, there are homes in reynolds mill, which are new, and they are in your price range.
