I'd love to help NRG but I just had my nails done.
Besides, where are you going to put it? Is your HOA going to allow it in your back yard? Front yard?

Nice work blurring out the phone number on the sign. lol But does that really matter if they are advertising it anyways? Interesting concept. Considering how complicated it would be though; chances are it would cost more to move the house than it's even worth itself.

I just did that so city-data wouldn't zap my post for being and Advertisement for a house.
I agree, I think the costs of moving the house would outweigh the benefit in this case. I'm curious what will go in its place down the road. I *think* the area in question is zoned for residential.

Can anyone say "McMansion"? Here's hoping that it's NOT one of those. In this economy, they'd be better advised to stick a grouping of townhouses on the property. Where is this anyway?

The house would to move across town, lets say 30 miles.
About $10,000 to get the home detached and secured from the foundation and ready to move.
Permits and a contractor capable of moving the home adds another $12,000-$22,000.
Once it arrives to its new location, it needs to be placed on a new foundation, which would run $8,000-$10,000.
Then you would still need to finish up any remodel, fixing and so on.
You're looking at $30,000-$50,000 to get that house from that location, to a new one and the basic setup with a new foundation.
It is probably not worth it, unless your uncle Rico, runs a home moving business.
