Auto Window Tinting
I searched and didn't find any existing threads on this topic, so I thought I'd ask if anyone knows of a reputable place to get the windows on my car tinted. I haven't needed tint on the car since I took possession of it in September, but warmer days are fast approaching! Any recommendations are most appreciated!

Be sure installer follows NC DMV rules or you fail inspection.
You will pay $10 extra every year for the added tint inspection.

And what are the rules? I know that the tint I have on my car now is the darkest legal tint allowed under Florida law (and it's not really that dark). A friend of mine had the same on her car in Florida, then moved to Charlotte. Her car then failed inspection because of the tint.

Window Tinting:
Vehicles with after-factory window tinting must pass the 35 percent visible light requirement during an annual vehicle safety inspection.
In addition to the annual safety inspection fee, there is a $10 charge for any vehicle that has an after-factory tint. If you have any questions about window tinting, contact your nearest DMV Enforcement Office, or call (919) 733-7872.

Not sure why a thread from last spring was brought back. Likely the OP already got his tint. But anyway, second Formula One. I used the Apex location at Highway 64 and Laura Duncan.

Formula One in Apex-ask for Rikki (owner). Good work, fair price.

Wow, my old long lost thread that never got any replies finally got some hits!
Nearly a year later and believe it or not, I actually never got the tint. I determined that I didn't really feel the need for it. I was expecting my car to be an oven in summer since it is black (yet has a white roof) having lived in FL with a car that became an oven even with (FL legal) tint. Fortunately, this was not the case.
I am still contemplating whether I really want tint. I think at this point it would be more for aesthetics, but if there is going to be a $10 surcharge every year come inspection time, it just isn't worth it to me!
However, if I do end up getting it, sounds like Formula One is the place to go!

Yeah, on a side note, if you go to a small town garage that doesn't really check everything on an inspection, I know for a fact that state troopers do notice this on a roadcheck and will measure it...
