I'm cleaning feverishly for the arrival of my mother in law but need more help - can anyone recommend a good maid service? I'm calling from the coupons I get in the mail all the time - but wondering if anyone has any "1/2 off refer a friend" or other offers for a maid service they like and trust?

Mercy buckets. (that's franglish for Merci beau coup)

No, it's not 'franglish' at all...and it's 'beaucoup'...one word.

Using proper French is not having a potty mouth.

I use a woman I found through word of mouth. I found the 'services' to be overpriced and they do not do as good of a job.

We have an excellent cleaning service and I am not generous with cleaning company compliments. The company we use is privately owned by a woman who has 3-5 girls working for her. She moves them around in teams depending on the schedule of the day. Our house is 5 bedrooms, 4000 sq. feet, 4 kids, 3 cats. Cleaners are here every two weeks. She quoted us $165. I pay her $180. They change linens on all the beds and fold any laundry I have sitting around in laundry baskets. We are in No. Raleigh but I know she cleans in a broad area.
