Did anyone else see the 3 hot air balloons today around Capital Blvd?? I really wanted to take a picture but left my camera at home.

I was at Best Buy and they were right over me, I could see the fire going up into the balloon.

Does anyone have any pictures???

I saw them but didn't snap a picture. Any ideas if there was some event connected to the sighting?

OK.. I'll try it again. The pictures were too small on my first post.

Anyway, here's a couple pictures I took at the Spiedie Fest in Binghamton, NY a few years ago.

I saw them tonight ---I live up in Wake Forest and have seen them here as well as when I lived on the east side of Raleigh. I think they come out of Wendell or Zebulon. I've only ever seen them in the early evening.

Wow! I haven't seen a hot air balloon in years, growing up I used to seem them over Raleigh and Cary all of the time. If you're interested, you should check this out: Carolina BalloonFest, Statesville NC USA - Hot Air Balloon Festival, 50+ Balloons, North Carolina Wines, Balloon Glow, Arts & Crafts, Food, Live Entertainment

Where I used to live we'd have them fly over the house in the evenings - awesome from the ground, but better in a balloon. Are there any regular balloon rides in the Raleigh area?

Glad I saw this post.
I'm a member of the Big Red Hot Air Balloon team, and we were the ones flying the American Red Cross banner on Sunday afternoon -- along with two other hot air balloon pilots and crew from Raleigh. I have lots of photos I can send individually. If you are interested in a hot air balloon ride, or if you would like to join our volunteer crew, send me a note at bigredcrewchief@nc.rr.com
We're out flying most weekends around the eastern Wake Co./Franklin Co. areas when the weather is pretty and our schedule permits it.
