San Carlos in the Khols plaza at 9660 Falls of Neuse is our family's absolute favorite. Reasonably priced, small family owned and casual atmosphere, and OMFG the food is so good. Never too busy. Seriously, some super great food. I'm getting hungry thinking about it. We get out pizzas from there now in addition to dinners out.

Annnnnd.... re-reading your post you ate dinner a couple nights ago. But you should still check out San Carlos, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
