We need to paint our open foyer and change the dated light fixture as well.

Does anyone know of a rental place that has scaffolding or better yet, some sort of lift, that we can rent?

We are in Holly Springs and would prefer to keep within this area (30 minutes tops from HS).

Thanks!

We've rented scaffolding from Home Depot. I've rented outdoor lawn equipment from Sunbelt rentals and I can't imagine them not having scaffolding for rent as well.

The last time I called Home Depot to ask about renting scaffolding (perhaps December 2008) they said that they don't rent that. This was the Fuquay store, which I believe is the only southern Wake store that has a rental department.

We improvised. We took our aluminum extension ladder and a few 2x6 boards that we had lying around and used that as our platform.

We had rented from the N. Raleigh Home Depot. It was first half of 2008. Apologies for sending anyone down a dead end!

Unless you have a very unusual floor plan with some sort of obstacle, extension ladders with ladder jacks and walk planks will allow access to most two and three story foyers, light fixtures and hanging chandeliers.

Scaffolding can actually be too large for some areas. Small electric scissor lifts are avaialble to rent if you can manuver them to access the area via doorways, steps, front porch, etc.

Access Equipment rents all kinds of scaffolding, and Sunbelt rents lifts and ladders. Have you considered hiring this work done by a professional who has the required equipment and experience while you stay on the ground and admire their work?

Do you have photos of this area?

I always go to SunBelt for my home project rentals. I've used several different locations in both Raleigh and Charlotte. They are fair with the rental rates.
