I have a relative looking for a 2BD 2BTH apt. She's looking for an apartment near shopping and restaurants. One that has a nice view, patio or balcony, w/d hookup or w/d included in unit, fitness and if she's lucky, a fireplace. She's looking to spend up to $850/mth. Are there any in these areas that meet all or most of her wants?

Thx for your help

That's probably your best bet. You could also look on realtor.com.

Thx for the help. I will check the websites you suggested. Does anyone know about Ashely Park at Brier Creek? I was wondering if anyone lived there personally. If so, can you tell me about the construction of the buildings? Do you hear everything your neighbors are doing?

I managed a community in Brier Creek for a couple of years and we had a lot of their residents unhappy and come over to our community. I couldn't really tell you why exactly, but there were a lot. I rarely recommend Apartment Ratings, but in this case, may be worth checking out. There are far too many other options in Brier Creek and the surrounding area.

My husband rented from Carpenter Village apartments in Cary/Morrisville. It had all that you mentioned. The apartment are situated in the middle of a very nice neighborhood and is close to everything. Really a great place. Not sure if it is the same management or not.

In general, Brier Creek apartments tend to be very overpriced. Many are pure trash with a few glitzy features to attract tenants but no basic quality.

The Brier Creek area is a traffic zoo but has a lot of retail if you enjoy shopping.

It's also near a high crime area, and criminals come looking for easy pickings.

Expand your horizons.
