^^ The new Super-Walmart is already under construction...or at least bulldozers are out flattening things. It's right off Hwy. 55, just after Avent Ferry Road. If you know where the Autumn Park subdivision is off of Avent Ferry Rd., it's close to that.

I agree with Mike J. I would go with Apex over Holly Springs. Closer to the Whole Foods, test scores are higher for the schools in Apex. Location is a little closer. You will have easy access to 55,1 and 64. The whole Beaver Creek area along 64 is growing rapidly with plenty of stores and shopping. Also a new movie theatre.

^ I don't think it's a matter of "is Apex better than Holly Springs." If for nothing more than proximity to RTP, Cary, Durham, and Raleigh alone, Apex is clearly the better choice.

Money has to be taken into consideration, though. If I had $300k to blow on a home, no doubt I'd pick Apex over Holly Springs and shave 10 or more minutes off my daily commute each day, and be closer to the bigger cities.

Spending money on a home is hardly 'blowing' it.

Excuse my terminology. Blowing = spending.

Default Thanks

Thanks so much for all the responses, but from Apex to Holly Springs is it only 10 minutes drive time? But i guess that would depend where in Apex and Hollly huh?

Thanks again

Normally when someone says 'blowing' they mean 'spending foolishly'. Has the term changed to mean any spending?

Default Apex or Holly Springs -- Congested?

Also bewteen choosing Apex or Holly Springs is one area more crowded/congested more then the other? Or are both area's just as busy?

I'm still "college-aged," so it's probably just my demographic, but it's no uncommon in the younger set to switch 'em in and out. Truthfully, the real meaning depends on the tone, which can't be shown in text.

Anywho, yeah -- Apex to HS is right around 10 mins, it could be 15 or so from the Fuquay side of HS to the top side of Apex, but the good thing is that 99% of your needs can be filled in a ~7 min. drive to Fuquay, and what's not there is within ~10 mins. in Apex.

^ HS is less crowded right now, as Apex is packed out from people who couldn't afford or don't want to live in Cary. The reality is that HS will become just as packed though, and then Fuquay's next in line to become just as packed. It'll happen regardless.
