I think they are building it only as far as 540 right now. It doesn't look like there are plans to extend it all the way to McCrimmon Pkwy for a long time (like another 10 or 20 years).

Known as the "Triangle Parkway Extension" or "McCrimmon Connector", the stretch between 540 and McCrimmon is not in the upcoming round of construction, but was considered as a possibility during the planning process and is still envisioned as a future project.
