I second Harrison's. They have a large menu, bar, pool tables, darts, etc. We used to go there a lot when we lived in Cary. Unfortunately there's not much in the way of nightlife in downtown proper except that, Pure Gold, and Upper Deck (also good). We also went to Abbey Road a lot because we could walk to it from our house (and loved it - smaller than Harrison's but better food) - but like the other poster said, it's not downtown (but not too far from it).
One day the TTA metrorail system will have a major station in downtown Cary and this will induce an explosion in construction everywhere within a one mile radius. They will build gleaming eight-story glass office buildings, 14 story condo towers, restaurants, nightlife, shopping....
Ashworths drugstore is all the rage...............In the 50's.
You'll be highly dissapointed if you think Downtown Cary is full of nightclubs and fancy resturants
