I've noticed what appears to be a recent increase in re-sale listings in this subdivision. I haven't been in that part of town in a while, so haven't seen for myself, but any opinions on the impact the wires may be having on home sales in that subdivision?
i would assume it will hurt them until the shock is gone. from what i can tell, i think the poles will end at cameron pond and power the clover leaf toll at 55.
if you can imagine a 100' tall 5' diameter rusted pole in the middle of nowhere....thats it. they werent planned but claimed eminent domain and put them up. there is one 10' from the pool and one about 30' from an unsold house.
I wouldn't worry about the poles so much (unnattractive as they may be) as I would the high power lines it sounds like they will eventually carry. When house shopping here, I found a house I loved, but behind it were power lines - I would not buy that house.
Anyone have pictures? I'm curious but never get over to that part of town.
These pictures are from my cell phone - so they're really bad. But they at least give you an idea of what people are talking about. Look for the large rust colored pole. These are taken heading west on Carpenter Fire Station Rd at the main Cameron Pond entrance.
Oh dear, that looks horrible. Good luck to anyone that has that running near their property.
Thanks for the pics bta.
