Raleigh Home Builders
Does anyone have any first-hand knowledge of home builder named Bill Clark? I notice on his website that he has a number of floorplans that are single story which is what I am looking for. Thanks

I'm a Realtor and funny you should ask about Bill Clark Homes. I just sold one of his last week for over $400,000. Its about 1.5 years old. We had our inspection yesterday and the inspector said it was one of the best built homes he has ever seen and the crawl space was absolutely dry and clean! Vicki

Thanks
That is precisely the kind of feedback I was looking for. We are planning a trip to Raleigh in October to begin the process of locating a community and ultimately a builder for our future move to the area. I note that he has a variety of price ranges and as I said earlier, I like that he does single story homes. Thanks for the information.

I lived in a bil clark neighborhood...Tryon Pines, just off of tryon road. The house was built pretty well, it was just in a bad location. The biggest development I know of now that has similar homes to the ones in Tryon Pines is Vandora Pines off of Vandora Springs road in Garner. They have this home homestyle that I really liked, (but I bought a cheaper one lol), it has a HUGE front porch and a very open floorplan with a master bed downstairs and I think 2 or 3 in the small upstares.

I appreciate your personal insight but my overriding issue is finding a plan that is all on one level. Finding two-story plans is not a real problem but well laid out single level ones are few and far between.

Hmm, I can recall a few single level homes, but they were farily small, around 1500 sq ft. How do you feel about a home that is all on one level, with the exception of the bonus room above the garage? (that's a very popular home style with many builders in the south)

This website will probably help, it's shows all of their neighborhoods in the Raleigh area that are currently open and under construction
removed
It shows you floorplans and front elevations of they style of homes they have, and gives general pricing and square footage as well.

I heartily disagree that Tryon Pines is a bad location. I just bought a house in Camden crossing, a little west of there, but I've lived in Villages of Tryon (a block from Tryon Pines) for two years. I've walked every morning and evening in both neighborhoods and I can assure you that these are extremely quiet and safe (no signs of crime anywhere) neighborhoods that are very close to NC State (where I work) and downtown, not to mention i-40. We LOVE the location.

yes I see that....you have pretty much looked up every post I've made about Tryon Pines and copy and pasted the same response to it at least 4 times.

I'm going to agree with Potpie on this one. We have lived in Villages of Tryon since April 2005 and have had no crime problems since we moved in. This housing complex is right beside Tryon Pines. I see kids playing all over the neighborhood and I have never felt unsave when walking around there, even at night. Perhaps things were different when you moved in several years ago, but things have obviously changed for the better. I will say that there is an area nearby (near the Food Lion down the street) that I would stay away from, but it doesn't seem to affect our neighborhood.
