Looking for Plastic Resin Patio/Deck Chairs, etc.
After ruining 2 very nice (wood) porch rockers by keeping them outside (and covered with specialty covers, which did not work), I have decided to go back to resin plastic chairs because they are indeed impervious to the outside elements. My house seems to attract dust/dirt/grime and keeping patio furniture clean has proven to be an impossible task.
So...city-data folks...I know Lowe's carries a couple of those resin chairs. The kind I'm looking for have the higher backs.
Please let me know if you've seen them like this and what store you spotted them.
Thanks!

Big Lots has several different varieties and great prices. Also K Mart. Target, not so much.....

I agree, the heavy duty plastic resin chairs are the best. The others always get a rip if they are fabric, or rott if they are wood. you can usually get a solid heavy white resin full size lounger for $40, versus cast iron and fabric at $250-$300 and the resin chair will last forever and works just as well. But hey it's your $.
I'm talking about a full sized sun chair recliner. the one like you have photographed would probably only run $15.

I found 2 white ones for $13 ea. at BJs today. I was there coincidentally and happened down that aisle. Yeah!
Now if I could just find a 6 ft patio umbrella that *totally blocks* the sun. I purchased a patio umbrella at Target and while it's nice, it's a champagne colored mesh and the sun still comes through and it's bothersome.

I would spend the extra and go for wrought iron or aluminum - next you'll be looking for milk crates to use as furniture.

Oh please...it's not about COST as much as it's about the fact that certain materials are easy to clean AND lightweight. My backyard is natural area and very dirty. I need something that I can hose down and it can take a general beating. Wrought iron is too heavy (unless you'd like to come over and move it around for me whenever I need someone to do that)? The resin chairs fit the bill for *my* specific purpose.

Where can I buy milk crates to use as furniture? They are some of the most versatile pieces I had while I was in college.
lottamoxie--totally agree with you, it's not the cost but the practicality factor. Wood pieces work well on covered patios and decks, but the resin ones work better in the elements.

I have a covered porch and have 2 expensive (wooden) porch rockers AND I purchased specialty covers just for those chairs. My porch gets so much dirt and grime that upon pulling the covers off the chairs yesterday they were black with soot. So you can have a 'covered' porch or deck and your good patio furniture can still get ruined.
