Front Porch Rocking Chairs
I am looking for some nice quality front porch rocking chairs for our home; similar to the Cracker Barrel style. Anyone have suggestions on a good vendor that sells quality rocking chairs at a reasonable price?

Believe it or not, Lowes Foods has been selling....
nice wooden chairs in classic white for $59. We bought four for our double porch.

does anyone know if there are any vendors at the flea market? A neighbor said they bought theirs at the flea market, but the man stopped making them. So not sure if anyone took over.

$59/chair is a good price (unless you can find someone else selling their used ones). I think I paid $80/chair 3 years ago.

There is a guy at the flea market in Raleigh that has really nice rockers. I have the $59 rockers from Lowes (also) and they are great. Not as big as the ones at the flea market but great for the price. We use them a lot.

I purchased a swing from that guy at the flea market. He told us it was made of Brazillian Cherry and would last, no matter what the weather conditions.
Swing #1 began to chip right away and actually rotted. We contacted him and he told us that the "warranty" was with the company, not him. We tried a few times but no one from the "company" would call us back. We took the swing back to the guy at the flea maket and he was not happy!
Many people that were looking at his swings and rockers asked us what had happened, as we stood there with our ROTTED SWING! He then took our swing and sent us a brand new one, claiming that there was a "problem with a few swings".
Swing #2 lasted about a year before it began to chip. I spoke with him a few times and now he claims that the company he purchased them from is out of business...duh! He won't take the swing back and although I know if I took him back to him at the flea market and stood there with it, he would take it back, I just haven't had the time!
I wouldn't buy anything from him.

I've also seen several on Craigslist very reasonably priced. If you're really looking to save money, that's the way to go. However, we did buy two of the CB rockers last year for our front porch and are very happy with the quality. They look like new and are very comfortable, too!

I went to the NC Fairgrounds/flea market today. The vendor inside one of the buildings selling rocking chairs had white ones available for $179 each.
Lowes seems to be a good deal.
