We are interested in putting an inground swimming pool in our back yard. Need information on reputable companies.

I have had a couple of friends who have used rising sun pools and have been happy. They have a very good reputation, and prices are good right now. Their website is quite informative as well.

Rising Sun did ours and we have no issues with it or their customer service.

Default Rising Sun Pools

Another vote for Rising Sun pools, dont want to skimp on a project like that and have issues, they are very good and NOT pushy at all.

We debated putting in a pool last year and got bids from both Rising Sun and from Gress Inc. I was not even remotely impressed with the estimate done by Rising Sun, it was poorly done, basically a bunch of chicken scratches on paper, and very difficult to figure out what the thing would cost. I didn't feel they had a good handle on how to site the pool, and it is a difficult site, but still, they are supposed to be experts. They told me to hire a landscape architect to draw up a plan if I wanted to know what it would really look like.

The Gress estimate is what I expected, a full landscape design that showed everything. The estimate was easy to figure out the options etc.

If we would have done the project, we'd have gone with Gress Inc. I think Rising Sun is probably fine for doing a basic vinyl pool on a flat lot, they have a good reputation from what I've heard. If you want a gunite pool with very complicated landscaping at all, I would call Gress. They really knew what they were doing.
