Default the Lake Forest subdivision in Chapel Hill and older houses in general

Anyone live in, or know anything about the Lake Forest neighborhood in Chapel Hill? My husband will be checking out some houses in that area next week. I know that the houses are older, and I am wondering about lead paint. I know it was banned in 1978, so houses older than that could have some, right? Any info about Lake Forest and/or older houses are welcomed : )

I actually grew up in Lake Forest and still love that area. It's been a long time since I last lived there, but it is really a great area. Close to shopping, yet very secluded. When I was a kid I use to walk to school, and I loved hanging out at the lake. Tadley is also the best hill for sledding ever. I don't know anything about lead paint in any of the homes, but your inspector should let you know anything about any of the homes you are looking at that needs to be addressed.
The homes there are probably going to be either very pricy, or need a lot of work though.

Furball is on a distinguished road
They have to disclose any home whether you rent or buy if it has had lead paint. Chances are highly likely that if the house is older than 78, it has definitely had lead paint.

LOL, that must be what is wrong with me because I remember biting the window sil when I was little.
