Does anyone know which furniture stores have a similar style to Pottery Barn or Crate and Barrel? I like their furniture but am looking for a bit cheaper alternative. Thanks!!

Check out the mitchell gold outlet in Hickory. They make or used to make the sofas and stuff for Pottery Barn. Also, J. C. Penney makes furniture that is similar in style to Pottery Barn that is much less- not as high of quality, but looks good and pretty decent- look online or go to their store at North Hills.

What kind of furniture are you looking for? Upholstery, case goods, dining?

West Elm is owned by William Sonoma, which is the parent company of Pottery Barn, FYI. There is also CB2, which is supposed to be less expensive version of Crate & Barrel, with more modern pieces thrown in. They only have a few stores so everything has to be ordered via catalog or online.

I like IKEA for cheaper stuff, Target is another one. Cheaper than either is Craigslist.

But costs WAY more, not less.
I went to the Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams Outlet a couple weeks ago and it is perfect for the Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel Furniture. Lots of sofas and chairs. We bought a rug for half the price of what you would find online or in stores. Hickory Furniture Mart
I know this is an older thread. Simoni what did you end up going with, if anything?

I love me some Pottery Barn/Restoration Hardware/Crate and Barrel outlets! All three are at the outlet mall in Leesburg, VA - just outside of DC. We've gotten some fantastic things there - furniture, bedding, decorative/holiday items, light fixtures, etc. You usually have to look through some busted stuff on the furniture side, but it's wellllllll worth it.

It's been a few years since I've been there, but I though the PB Outlet just over the state line in Gaffney, SC was great too...they've also added a Crate and Barrel and Restoration Hardware since I was there...
