Hello all.

I dropped by my rental house (ITB) yesterday night and noticed the yard is totally out of control. 'Thing is most of the yard isn't grass - it's native plants. My landlord has been trying to locate a gardener that can tend to them and isn't having much luck (but then again, he's not very computer literate - so "trying" is subjective). Can anyone recommend a gardener that isn't too spendy yet understands and can attend to a largish (for ITB, that is) plant-filled yard?

You might want to give some the people listed on Craig's List a call (search in the services offered category for yard, etc.). There's some big name companies looking for clients & others just looking to make extra money. Since it's a rental, you might need to know the price in mind before you speak with them too. Good luck!

Google "Grow Native" to see if there is that kind of program out there. May just be a midwest thing though.

I did just that - and located a nursery in Raleigh that specialises in native plants. I've sent along an email requesting recommendations - so, hopefully, someone will respond.

Thanks for the great info!
