Sports leagues in Raleigh/Cary/WF area?
eg softball, volleyball etc - suggestions? Looking for "casual" leagues - I'm competitive, but not into ones where people act like winning or losing is life or death. Thx

I am not sure how old you are (although there is no age limit), but you can give this a try. I know a number of people who do kickball and other various sports. Seems like alot of fun! Great way to meet people also.

It is a lot of fun. Played in the indoor volleyball league last season (in my 2nd flag football season now) and it was a blast. However, be warned that they go on the 'honor' system (e.g. lifts, double hits, etc.. will usually be ignored). That was my only complaint.

There are groups on yahoo that you might want to check out. Also, meetup.com is a great site for social networking --there are several rec leagues that I've seen on there.

You can always try your local YMCA... certain ones have basketball and volleyball leagues. I played in a basketball league last season--you don't have to be a member to play, you just pay more than members do.
