been to 2 stores looking for coffee cream (aka table cream). Only find whipping cream & heavy whipping cream. Is this all over Durham?
also, after 3 stores, no DIET Schweppes tonic water. ????
I understand the diet tonic water dilemma - I've sometimes been to multiple stores just to find it. I'm not sure why it's so popular here, but it does seem to sell out quite often. Fortunately, I've never had that problem when I've visited the ABC to get the stuff that mixes well with the tonic!
I have never heard of coffee cream or table cream. Is it maybe half and half?
nope. not half n half.
here's from epicurious.com:
There are many varieties of cream, all categorized according to the amount of milk fat in the mixture. Light cream, also called coffee or table cream, can contain anywhere from 18 to 30 percent fat, but commonly contains 20 percent. Light whipping cream, the form most commonly available, contains 30 to 36 percent milk fat and sometimes stabilizers and emulsifiers. Heavy cream, also called heavy whipping cream, is whipping cream with a milk fat content of between 36 and 40 percent. It's usually only available in specialty or gourmet markets. Whipping cream will double in volume when whipped. Half-and-half is a mixture of equal parts milk and cream, and is 10 to 12 percent milk fat.
surprised you've never heard of it. really surprised!
I just checked my pantry and we have Schweppes Ginger Ale but no more Tonic Water so I can't confirm for you if we had it but used it up at the last Mojit-off.
surprised you've never heard of it. really surprised!
I've never heard of it either.
