If you live in North Raleigh are you required to pay Raleigh city taxes?

If so, does anyone know how those taxes are calculated?

Thanks!

If you live within the Raleigh city limits, then yes you have to pay Raleigh city taxes. Portions of what many would call "North Raleigh" lie outside the city limits, though (e.g., any part in the Falls Lake watershed). These communities only pay Wake County property taxes. City taxes are based on the homes assessed value. I don't know the Raleigh city tax rate, though.

"North Raleigh" isn't a city, it's a geographic designation. Perhaps better written as "north Raleigh" (without the capital "N"), but as rfb points out, not everything that folks refer to as "north Raleigh" is in fact within the city limits of Raleigh (although most of it is).
