I've never seen paneer at the grocery stores I shop at - Harris Teeter, Kroger, Super Target. Has anyone seen paneer at another grocery store? How about an Indian grocery? Someplace near Wake Forest or N. Raleigh would be fantastic.

I've only found it in Indian stores, never in mainstream grocery stores. I am not familiar with Indian stores in WF or N Raleith though. Hopefully someone else will come along with that info.

There's an Indian store called Around the World Market has it, they are open on Sunday too.

But do you know how easy that stuff is to make?

All you need is milk and an acid. (Vinegar, lemon juice, even buttermilk will all work) You bring the milk just to a boil, stir in a little bit of the acid, wait 10 minutes, then scoop out the curds and dry them in cheesecloth or an old (clean) t-shirt.

There's an Indian grocery store on Falls of Neuse next to the Bombay Kitchen restaurant. I haven't been by in a while but assume the grocery store is still there.

I've also found Paneer at the State Farmers Market. There's a guy in the non-farmers building that sells goat cheese. I've gotten paneer from him before.
