The Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill area would be the perfect place if:???
I saw a question similiar to this on another forum and thought it an interesting idea. I lived in Cary for a short time back in 2004 and loved it. I often think of returning to the area. I would like to know how all of you would complete the above thought.

If: my children and grandchildren also lived here. I miss them. My daughter, her husband and 3 kids live in China, my son and his wife live in Hoboken, NJ. It's almost certain this will never happen.

.......liberals would practice what they preach about being tolerant. I am finding a greater divide here than a few years ago. There used to be a nice mix of political view and open dialog. Now it seems the liberals are just trying to shut down any thought that is not in line with theirs. It is really hurting what is otherwise a fantastic area.

Transportation! Light rail would be nice A nearby theme park would be a nice perk. More dog friendly places. We just moved to Efland and live five minutes from Lake Michael and they don't allow dogs

...we were closer to the outer banks.
And less douchebags..yeah...def less douchebags.
Would be cool to have another pro team here but I think it's be tough with the Bulls in Durham and the Panthers/Bobcats in Charolette and so much college hoops in the area...

If we could go back in time to about 1987 when we still had family farms up and down Creedmore, Six Forks and Falls of the Neuse Roads. We ceased being a big town after about 1988. It is still a great place to live, but as a 43 year old native, I miss the days of old. Just like many of you do with your homeplace. You cannot buck growth and progress and I guess we are lucky to have both. It is just hard to see your homeplace change so freaking rapidly. That is why folks like me cling to the things that remain from our past. It provides comfort. And great memories.
