Thumbs up General Store Cafe - Pittsboro

Just a quick note to let everyone know about a fantastic establishment in Pittsboro that my family and I discovered today. The General Store Cafe is definitely worth a stop for lunch or dinner (make sure to leave room for desert!). Interesting place to look around as well with all the works by local artists and live music.

StoneOne - I love The General Store too! It has such a neat atmosphere and great food, I especially love the chef selected specials, they are always amazing!

Thanks for posting that! The last time I drove through Pittsboro I vaguely remembered hearing about a good place for lunch but could not remember any details. I will definitely check this out next time I am in the area.

Happy Monday to you as well. I agree, for those who know Pittsboro or have even been there, it's probably pretty obvious. For slackers like me who take their time in getting down there, it might be something new.

Another fun place to check out while in Pittsboro is the S&T Soda Shoppe. Good lunches, and lots of good ice cream treats.

I love GSC!!! It's a fun place to linger w/ a book or friends (when they aren't busy). I LOVE their breakfast.... especially their Waffles. YUM! I've never been for dinner. I hear their music venues are fun... I hope to check that out this summer.

StoneOne, thanks for the post. It was a good reminder that we need to add GSC to our list of summer things to do.
