HI,
We are in the house market and looking at some subdivisions with pools. We did a few drive bys and the subdivisions we saw, which were quite large seemed to have small old pools. I like to swim laps and these pools just won't do. We are new to the area. To you have swim clubs you can join that have nice pools? Are the fees comparable to HOA dues?

We are looking in Wake Forest, N and NE Raleigh. If anyone can recommend a good subdivision with awesome pools let me know. Thanks.

The one advantage of a subdivision pool is it provides a great place to meet your new neighbors and help your kids make friends.

We have a nice pool and clubhouse area in Bedford at Falls River. There are 2 pools and one is great for swimming laps. Adults can also sign a waiver to utilize the pool during "off" hours which is great for the people that want to use it for lap swimming/exercise. Our HOA dues are only $60/mo which includes this plus numerous parks, events, concerts, etc. We also have a new retail area in the neighborhood that has a gym, cafe, spa/salon, florist, etc. It is so nice to be able to walk (on sidewalks) to all of these areas!
