What's going on around Fourth of July? Is Apex still having it's Bike Parade? Anything else from July 2nd through July 5th?

Thanks!

Many folks head to the coast from Triangle. There is a wonderful festival on the Eno in that has been popular for a long time. There is a pretty nice fireworks show at the State Fairgrounds.

Last year was our first Independence Day here & we went to the Garner/Benson Park festivities with some neighbors. It was great! Loved the symphony playing the old-time patriotic music. Free blow-up toys (the big ones) for the kids. We plan to attend again, and again!
I understand there is a similar event on the 4th, with the symphony, at Regency Park's Booth Amphitheater in Cary. It looks like a theater seat costs, but the lawn seating is free.

When my kids were younger, we used to go to the big celebration at the state fair grounds in Raleigh. They had food, rides, crafts, some shows, and other stuff to do during the late afternoon/evening hours, before we settled into our lawn chairs to enjoy the fireworks show.
