Moving to Chapel Hill--need help
I am looking for an apartment in the Chapel Hill area where there are young professionals. I am 25 and don't want to live in undergrad apartments. Grads would be fine. I want to be able to take advantage of the University happenings. Thanks.

I recommend Finley Forest Condos. Mainly graduate students. You would have a 5 minute drive to downtown...couldn't walk. You can rent or own. Mostly graduate students own. Not many undergrads there. Also check out Southern Village...if you can afford the rent, you would love it. There is a gym, grocery and restaurants all within walking distance of the apartments. Mainly graduate students as well. Both are on the bus line. Also check out providence place. They are owned, but many rent out. Mainly grads there as well.

What is your budget? In Carrboro, there are three managed complexes that are right on bus routes into campus. They're on the high end, but a little cheaper than Chapel Hill. These are popular with grad students and young professionals. There are a few undergrads, but they are definitely in the minority.

Thanks for your information. My top budget is $950.00. What do you think about the Southpoint area? Do you know anything about Southpoint Village?
Thanks again. It is a hard decision to make and all information is appreciated.

Cosgrove
Cosgrove is beautiful and new and very costly. There is no washer/dryer or anything else included in the rent. There is no laundry room either. For a one bedroom, it can be over $1200.00 with utilities. Great location and beautiful if you have the cash.

I'd check craigslist and the paper, a lot of the young professionals rent rooms or condos, instead of apartments. Many of the owners don't rent to undergrads. I think one of the apartment places on MLK doesn't rent to undergrads either.
