This humidity sucks no matter where you are from. The same way 15F temps suck no matter where you are from.

I'm from Houston. This is nothing. Try 100+ degree temps with 95-100% humidity for days or even weeks on end.

I have lived in Texas. Now that is bad. NC is nothing compared to Texas.

I am from South West Louisiana and the humidity is nothing here compared to there
You could walk outside and break into a sweat on a cool day in Louisiana and I don't miss that for anything , today's weather made me think about what I was not missing in LA lol

This has been the nicest, most pleasant July 4th than I can remember in 16 years here. The humidity was VERY low!

If you think THIS is normal summer weather here, you're in for a surprise. It's usually much more oppressive and uncomfortable. This weather was WONDERFUL. Reminded me of a Northern summer weekend.

I remember the moment I thought the heat was really bad in the South. It's when I said to the kids, "Quick! Close the door! You're letting the heat in!" I never had said that before, certainly never in the North.

If you're a Southerner born and raised, then why don't you know the proper spelling of "y'all"???

July 4th was great, it was the 5th that had high humidity. I don't remember what it was exactly but it was similar to today.

It's more humid today than it is in Houston or New Orleans. By around 15 percentage points.

Agreeing with the folks that point out that the south doesn't have a monopoly on humidity

I recall it being quite humid in Boston one summer, and when I lived in Pittsburgh the summers had spells of high humidity that made for some miserable days.

So depending on where one moved from, even up north, it may not be that they exchanged cold winters for high humidity/heat.... they may have traded cold winters for incrementally more/higher heat and humidity

It was humid yesterday, but the temp was so low it wasn't that bad. I was at the Festival for the Eno yesterday and it was quite comfortable and a nice change from the blistering hot sun. I am one who can't stand too much humidity and heat.

The north east has it's share of heat and humidity.
