Where do I go to purchase live bait in the Cary area? In Maryland all of the 7-11s sold bait. I've been looking online but I can't seem to figure it out... Help!

You can probably find crickets at a pet store. Not sure about worms and minnows. Should be some at the store at Lake Wheeler, and if you're going to Jordan, the two stores at Wilsonville sell live bait.

I live near Lake Wheeler and all of the independent gas stations nearby advertise "Live Bait".

The sports departments of most Walmarts have little refrigerators with containers of worms for sale.

There is someone who advertises live bait for sale on craigslist but I see they pulled his ad.

BINGO! Thanks so much. I never would have thought to look at Walmart.

If you or a neighbor has a compost pile, then you should have plenty of fishing worms(aka nightcrawlers). Always worked for me back in the day. Catfish love chicken livers/gizzards.
