I'm new to Raleigh and have been trying to find some fun things to do during the week... Does anyone have reccommendations about bars/clubs/places to go for happy hour, trivia, live music, etc on Thursday nights... I'm open to anything and everything so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thurdsdays are a great night to go out - it's ladies night at most places so there are tons of specials and women! The Red Room has Latin night (learn to salsa and have a sangria or two). Hi5 - all drinks are only $4 plus everything on the menu is only $5. 42nd Street Oyster Bar and Fosters in Cameron Village both have live bands. Bogarts plays great dance music a little later. O'Malleys has karaoke.

Have fun!

High Park Bar & Grill (Whitaker Mill Rd) has karaoke on Thursday nights. They also have two pool tables and at least five dart boards.

There's a free "melodic street punk" show tonight at the Dive Bar (on Glenwood).

And tonight at Volume 11 (Maywood Ave), a hardcore/punk(?) show with Locked on Target, Greasy, Kitty, and Line in March; $5 cover.
