Wow, this is needlessly complicated in order to transfer ownership of a car.
I'm trying to donate my car. They pick up the car and sell it at auction and then a portion of the proceeds goes to the charity.
I'll never see the buyer. The only person I'll have contact with is the tow truck guy who comes to pick the car up. So there's no "buyer" to sign the title.
According to the Kars4Kids page referenced earlier in this thread, I only need to sign where it says "Seller's Signature" and then get it notarized.
The people who are picking up the car said to sign where it says "Seller's Signature" and leave everything else blank, including the mileage and that they would fill it all in after it sells.
Am I going to be able to find a notary who will notarize this title with only my signature and nothing else filled out?

Call a notary and ask. Or better yet, call a DMV office and ask.

The notary has a SINGLE job. Their job is to verify the person signing their name on the line is who they say they are. This is to prevent someone from stealing or getting ahold of your title and signing it over to someone on their own. Important: do not sign until present in front of the notary.
The notary couldn't care less about any of the information printed on the page you are signing.
This is not a complicated procedure. People make it out to be complicated, but it's really very simple.
A while back I was thinking about donating my old used car. For various reasons I am going to try and sell it to help cover some unexpected expenses that have come up. This will be the first time selling a car since moving the Raleigh and I am a little confused by the inforamtion requested on the Back of the Title.
Looking at the Title it appears that it when I sell the car I need to get the Title signed by both me (the seller) and the buyer and have it notarized. Is that correct? Do we have to sign it in front of the notary?

Yes, it does have to be notarized which can be done at the various license places around town. You may be able to find a used car dealer to deal with the title issues, but the buyer will still need to pay taxes and get a plate and inspection. They will need proof of insurance, too.
The damage report may just be in the interest of full disclosure to the buyer. Excessive damage may require a salvage title. I don't know. Be sure you turn in your old plates to DOT. Do not just drop them off downtown.
