Default McCar at Ashton Hall

I hear some rumors about McCar packing up at Ashton Hall subdivision, and a new builder will be moving in. Does anybody know if there is any truth in this rumor?

I've heard they can't get financing to build any more homes, also heard a rumor that Beazer might be going in there.

That's kinda funny. I was just reading that Beazer have all but exhausted all their lines of credit and are pretty much done. They are done, but not as done as McCarr I guess.

Yes, the rumors are true. It looks like McCar is not doing so well.

I live in another of their Raleigh-area developments, and heard from the employees here (those that didn't get laid off, anyway) that they were negotiating with Beazer to take over Ashton Hall. They are still building here, but it is going slow. Supposedly they stayed here since they own the land, and they don't at Ashton, making it all the harder to float their finances.

As of today or yesterday? the McCar sign has now been replaced by a Beazer sign.
