Subtopical climates of the southeastern U.S. will get summer showers almost every day, starting in July, going to about September. This is routine in the coastal plain of South Carolina, and it seems to happen in the Wilmington area to some degree; it may be less common in Raleigh, I don't know. Either way I would not call it a fluke.

Sounds good to me. Like I said, I am not complaining. It's just that over my past four years here this is the first summer I remember getting these regular summer showers. I like it and my yard likes it too. I'm glad it isn't a fluke.

Sounds like normal summer storms to me. I have only been here a few months, but in Va it would rain between 5-7 pm every day like clock work. Big storm, chance of hail , every afternoon.

I wonder if the person who claimed it was a fluke is another of those who's lived here 3-4 years and claim they know everything there is to know about the area.

Raining in Cary.

Check out the 7 day forecast:
Triangle Weather - Forecasts and radar for Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Fayetteville :: WRAL.com

The weekend looks dangerously hot.
At 77 degrees for a low, we don't get to cool off at night.
Then pushing 100 a few days in a row.

I predict: There will be thunderstorms...

Another one today... just blew over, ITB Wade/Glenwood area.

Several buckets were dumped, not as many big cracking bolts of lightening as yesterday though. Really cooled things off too, nice!

Typical air mass thunderstorms that happen pretty much all over the United States.

An interesting chart:

April has the least amount of rain but my grass always looks the best then!

I love the rain, but it gets old. I'm on the top floor at work so we can hear the rain on the roof. Once it starts half the building either groans or sighs. My yard is loving it!
