For the past months I have been trying to start a small LLC for IT consulting service. Heard that many companies would not grant contract if the contractor don't have insurance covered. Does anyone have experience for choosing insurance company under similar situation? Do you have recommendation for a good insurance agent for affordable coverage to small business?
I have been using NC Farm Bureau insurance for years and highly recommend them. They gave me the lowest quote, and I have always gotten wonderful customer service.
I'm totally ignorant as to what kind of insurance an IT consultant would need, but I would look talk to the insurance agent you already do business with ( Auto, home, etc.).
Or maybe you are a member of a trade association that you can get insured through. I am a member of the Wake county home builders association solely for the purpose of getting our worker's comp at a better rate than we would otherwise .
