Default For those who post, "I have a weekend in the Raleigh area, what should I do?"

36 Hours in Research Triangle, N.C. - NYTimes.com

Hope the article provides some ideas. Poole's Diner is already on my "wanna try" list and the picture of circle sculptures in Museum Park looks really neat.

Default Wow nice article

I was going to mention "the Pit" - the cook there was challenged by Food Network's Bobby Flay in a Throw Down. And Ed the cook beat him - Ha take that Bobby. It is supposed to be awesome - when I get there I will definitely.

The other thing I want to do is go to the farmers market at the fair grounds. A friend of mine that lives there loves it.

And when my sister went out to visit, our friend to her to the park at WRAL tv station. She said it was beautiful.

Well that just my 2 cents.

Have a blast - I am jealous.

Char

There is also always something going on at the fairgrounds (in addition to the flea market)...
NCDA&CS - N.C. State Fair Division

BTW, the farmers market is not at the fairgrounds. It's not far away, though.

The fairgrounds is great for lots of flea market stuff. There are also several produce stands, but nothing like at the farmers market.
