Five Guys (though I agree about the grease) > Cookout > Onlyburger > everything else I've tried.

I love RDU because I can get a delicious burger when others are eating breakfast.

Scott Mason-WRAL did a piece about Johnson's a few years. I've been meaning to get out there ever since.

Just had my first Chargrill burger tonight. Major disappointment! I know it's called "char"grill but it was burnt, that's it. Didn't taste like anything but an overcooked, burnt burger. I could do it at home...for much less than what I paid. And tastier. Probably won't be going there again.

Chuck's is the right answer here. Their burgers are delicious. A special mention for their pickles which are made in house and lovely and crisp. I don't even like pickles but love the ones at Chuck's. They also consistently give me great service when I'm with my kids.....very rare in the restaurant world.

Someone screwed up if it was burnt.

I do wonder about the time & place factor. If you're happy with a location's consistency (barring the brand), you've been luckier than I have been.

I tried Freddy's burgers on High House road about a month ago. The 'burger' was these thinly sliced and overcooked meat shreds. Do not recommend. Fries were good, though.

Freddy's fries reminded me of over-cooked hasbrowns....very thin/stringy and with way too much salt. Their frozen custard is good though.

Has anyone tried cowfish? I really want to and have heard good things but I hope it isn't too hyped...

I'm really surprised Abbey Road is really low. Probably just because their name isn't as popular, but I truly believe that is the best burger.

They have very good burgers. If I had to vote from the list, I would pick them. I chose not to vote because the list is WAAAAAY void of some good places.

Definitely worth a visit if you are a burger person.
