Default Village Square at Amberly Pictures (bandwidth warning)

I took a walk through Village Square at Amberly today and thought I'd snap some pictures. They've made a lot of progress on it recently. It's fun to watch the houses pop out of the ground from week to week.

I don't live here - so no worries about comments. I'm sure the lot sizes and prices will elicit some strong feelings. The detached homes (and they just barely fit that description) are in the 450k - 580k range. Lot sizes are around .15 acres. The townhomes go for up to 500k and quite a few have already sold.

You can borrow sugar from the neighbors without leaving your home

Some of the townhomes have 3 car garages

Pool looks pretty nice

You weren't kidding about the lot sizes. Big houses on such tiny lots. And I'll bet this SD will sell out quick. Is it in Cary? Is that why they can demand that kind of price?

You're right in that the pool/rec area seems like its gonna be huge and very nice.

Thanks for sharing.

Is it closer to Morrisville?

Looking at the map, it looks like it's right on the flight path.

I agree....for townhomes those have a very nice look. Like a classy old urban neighborhood. It will be nice to see when complete.

I think I like the townhomes better then the detached homes....which is rare for me!!

It is in Cary. Cary has Mo'ville about surrounded.
Annexation rules!
It is also on the edge of the flight path.

Here's the flight path outer most noise contour superimposed on the map with Amberly (green arrow).

note - I didn't draw the noise contour to the north.

I was just out in Amberly this weekend. I took some of my best clients out to Carolina Preserve (55+ Active Adult Community).

After talking to the onsite sales person, we did some driving around and talking to neighbors (I'll stop and talk to ANYONE when I want information)!

The neighbors that we spoke with told us that this part of Amberly was in Cary and had Cary city water and sewer but they actually pay Chatham County taxes. I checked the paperwork I have but see no indication of which county its in! I'll call tomorrow to find out but I'm wondering if its just part of Amberly thats in Chatham County. I would imagine those with school age kids may want to check into this.

Vicki
