Default Cary obgyn

I am newly pregnant and looking to schedule my first appt (eek) and I was wondering if anyone had dealt with Women's Health Alliance dba Cary Obstetrics and Gynecology??? Doctors are Bruggers, Stephenson, Anthony, Maydew and Bonpain?

I called and they said initially you see a nurse practioner and then after that you are rotated through the delivering doctors. Is that common practice in a obgyn practice? I get why they do it, but I am the type that likes one doctor. Please let me know Thanks!

I was with them for one visit and then switched to the midwives at UNC. Yes, it is normal to rotate through a million doctors, I did that with the midwives, too.

I saw Bonpain there and she was gracious and seemed totally competent. So, I cannot say anything bad about the doctors but I didn't like the way they ran the office. Unfriendly staff, way too busy/understaffed. Just a baby factory, in my opinion.

If you are low-risk, I suggest going to the midwives at UNC. I traveled there from Cary when I was in very active labor and it was fine.

If you like one doctor you could see Dr. Samira Tahtawi. It's a solo practice now. I also recommend a midwife at UNC.
