Default A new commercial project

I am dealing with a project and I want to have some of your input to it.

It is an existing warehouse. The owner wanted to re-pave all the packing space around the building. The existing space around the building was only gravel and some broken concrete. He want to re-pave it either by concrete or asphalt. I am a General contractor and I want to know where should I start.

1) Do we need a permit for it?

2) What kind of design requirement for the sidewalk, parking space? Can I find it in NC Building Code?

Thanks!

No offense, but shouldn't you have a general idea on where to get this information if you're a contractor?

The City should have codes for parking lots. Start on their planning site. I agree with the above, isn't this covered in getting your contractors license?

Doesn't sound legit, but if you are for real, contact the local government entity for more information or the Associated General contractors at agc.org. If you want answers on the NC Bldg Code, contact the NC State Office of Construction and ask.
