Which mall do you like best?
As WE ALL know, there are MULTIPLE malls in the Triangle. Of the MULTIPLE malls, two of the best malls are The Streets at Southpoint Mall and the Crabtree Valley Mall. Which of these malls do you like best and why? My wife likes the choices at Crabtree better and I like the look & layout of Southpoint more.
What say you?

I tend to like whichever one is closest to me. All 3 of the major malls have everything I need and then some.

For me it's also about distance. I go to Crabtree because it is the closest one to me. Then for the stores they don't have, I'll go to the next closest mall or shopping plaza.

I guess I never paid much attention to the different fashion stores at each mall, but that is where my wife sees the difference. She says that Crabtree has more higher end stores than Southpoint. As I guy, I focus more on getting in and out of the malls and Southpoint is better than the craziness around Crabtree. The traffic flow design seems to work better at Southpoint, although both can be quite a task at Christmas.

I'll agree on distance being the presiding factor. Since the distance to all three major malls is about the same for me, I choose based on a) whether a given store is available in the mall I'm driving to, and b) which mall gives me the quickest access. If a store is in Triangle Town Center, I'll go there as I find the mall access easiest there. Second for me is Crabtree, as I've lived here long enough to figure out how to know where to park and how to enter the mall. Last for me is Southpoint. While I like the layout of the mall, I find access and parking there to be the worst of the three major malls. But maybe I just haven't learned all the "secret" parking spots and best ways to access the mall from the highway.

Easy. Don't use exit 276. Come in from 751 or from the southern end of Fayetteville Road. Park next to the movie theater and walk the outside area first, unless it is raining and then park behind Rockfish Grill.

Yeah, I've tried that. Well, at least parking near the movie theater. Exiting on 751 is another couple of miles away from the direction I approach, and then I have the drive down the backside of the mall which doesn't seem to help much in the overall access time. It does help some during the Christmas shopping season, but I tend to avoid malls at almost all cost during that time of the year.
The movie theater is just so far away from everything else in the mall that I prefer not to park all the way down there. I keep trying to find somewhere near the middle of the mall near the place where the outdoor section meets the indoor section, but to little avail. But maybe I'm just too lazy, or spoiled by the parking at the other malls.

If I have actual shopping to do and want to get in and out quickly, I vote for SouthPoint - the key is to definitely park on the "streets" side and walk for some distance. Only lazy fools try to get a close parking spot, which inevitably results in scratched doors, lots of waiting and lots of frustration.
If the missus wants to shop and I'm just going along for the ride (and to have lunch/dinner), I prefer Crabtree. It's got a lot more comfortable chairs for sitting. The key with parking at Crabtree is to park on the back near Panera Bread.

I prefer Crabtree, but really as far as the stores go, a mall is a mall. It's all the same crap. As for Crabtree, I usually enter and exit on the back side around Edward's Mill Road. I guess I'm just more used to the traffic there. I can get in and out very quickly, even around Christmas. OTH, I find the whole parking and traffic around Southpoint awful. Really. I went there once last year around the holidays and swore I'd never, ever put myself through that crap again! I don't really even shop in the more expensive stores out there like Nieman Marcus to justify the trip.
I've never even stepped foot in TTC.
