I'm looking to take a taxi from the airport to near the corner of Davis Dr and Morrisville Parkway at my girlfriend's apartment. Does anyone know how much a taxi would probably cost? Thanks a bunch!
I took a cab from the airport to Cary (High House and Davis) about 4 weeks ago., Cost was $32. Thought it was very high. No meter in cab...just a figure named by the driver. Paid it because I had no choice.
OK, sounds good. Thought I'd save a few dollars by taking the bus there and the cab back. Bad idea. Just spend the $6/day parking for 5 days and be done with it.
$32 seems really high and also sorta suspicious; if you took RDU Taxi (from the taxi dispatch location at the airport) the rates within the designated areas are metered and negotiated between the airport and the taxi company as part of their license.
I live right by Morrisville Elementary (Davis / Morrisville Parkway) and take the RDU cab to the airport pretty often, I usually pay less than $20 for the cab ride.

I can't imagine that it would be more than 15-20 dollars.
I paid about $20-25 a few months back, and I live at the corner of Davis Dr and Morrisville Parkway as well. Also, I had the driver (RDU Taxi) take Airport Blvd to NC 54 to Morrisville Parkway, and the meter was running.
I pay $25-$28 from RDU to Oxxford Hunt (near SW Cary Parkway & Old Apex Rd). I could probably save a few bucks by parking at the airport, but I don't travel all that often and I really like getting dropped off at the curb. I can leave my house 1.25 hours before my flight and make it in plenty of time.
