yet another relocation question...
In a nutshell----DH is looking for work in the Raleigh area. We would not move unless we had a job lined up. Currently live in Haywood Co. Looking for a rural area within a 50 minute commute (in a radius around Raleigh since we have know idea if and where he would be working) to Raleigh but also within 10 minutes of basic stores and necessities---groceries, pharmacies, doctors, vets, etc. Must also be within 30-40 minutes of a good hospital for a child with a heart condition. Will have kids in middle school and high school and 2 in college if/when we make a move. We have a large family and four of us drive, so parking for 5 vehicles is a must. We would also like a place to park our camper. We currently have a half an acre, but most of it is unuseable being on the side of a mountain. Neighborhood and school safety are top priority as well as being able to park all our cars and camper. I know there are houses out there under $150,000 and that is what we need to find. It doesn't have to the newest house on the block as long as it would be structurally sound. What cities/school systems would fit these requirements? I am posting this under Charlotte as well since we are looking into both cities. Thanks in advance for any help you can give! p.s. does anyone know what the requirements are to be a substitute teacher/teacher assistant and pre-k teacher assistant in this area as this is my area of work. ---thanks!

Not likely if you are more than 15 minutes from Raleigh / Triangle area?

Again..can be anywhere around Raleigh within 10 - 45 minutes--but may not meet criteria 2 and 3?

Not sure about Charlotte but probably similar areas like Raleigh?
There are way too many variables to accomodate for any place particular..

I would look at Louisburg as a possibility. Youngsville is another choice that puts you closer to Raleigh.

Try East of Raleigh. Wendell, Zebulon or just inside Nash County(Middlesex, Spring Hope?). You can quickly get to WakeMed via 64/264 from those areas. You may have better luck finding a home for a larger family, for under 150K, in those areas.

Youngsville could be another good option. It's just north Wake Forest (which is north of Raleigh). I have some friends who live there on a property that sounds exactly like what you want.

in order to be a pre-k teacher you usually have to have your early childhood credentials and a few classes
