I was wondering if there are many houses for rent in Cary, and what the typical rent would be for a 3 bedroom 2 bath townhouse would be. Or a rental in Apex--are they much cheaper?

What has your search involved thus far? That way, I won't be suggesting something you've already explored.

It's slow around here on Fridays. The best thing would be to find an MLS site and search rentals in cary and apex. I use sellingdirectly.com which has an advanced MLS search and there are rentals listed there. Good luck!

$900 to $1500 depending on amenities, location and TH community.
Not much difference between Apex and Cary for comparable units.

I'm wondering about buying a townhouse near to NC state in Raleigh as an investment property. If I bought a 3 bedroom townhouse, near to the university (less than 5 miles away) would this make a good investment.

Are you looking at the new ones on Western Blvd. at Blue Ridge Road?

In Cary or Apex??
Well, it should cash flow at that price.
Most of what I see at $100,000 is two bedroom stuff.

Three bedroom units seem to go for more like $110,000-$120,000 and up.

Hi Mike,

Yes, I was thinking 110 max for 3 bedroom. What do you think I could rent that for--3 bedroom townhouse in Cary near to NC State--I would pay cash for the house.
