Thanks for the site too Miamiblue, moved here 2 months ago and was finding it hard to meet people. Will definitely look to attending some of those group meetups.
27 here too....older, not necessarily wiser

Hi,
I've been here for almost a year now and I had no trouble making friends at work, however I did not find Meetup.com to be very helpful since the volleyball group I joined disbanded and we never got together and then the NFL group I joined also disbanded after having only met the people once. Since then I haven't found much as far as an organized group that I'd be interested in participating in, but that wasn't really my point.

My question was really more about Youngsville. We lived in N. Raleigh when we first moved here and that was close to everything, but just last weekend we finally moved into our first house out in Youngsville. We absolutely love the area, but we don't really know what to do here. It doesn't really appear as if there is a lot to do, but I'd like to know more about the town here and maybe more about things that can be done in Wake Forest, or anywhere that we don't have to drive all the way to Raleigh for because Capital Blvd, is not a fun drive all of the time. (yeah we knew that before moving out here). Our neighbors are all nice, but they aren't really our age (mostly older with children we are 27 & 30 and no kids). I like to have dinner parties and have my friends over and stuff, but I'm looking for something different to do also, and someplace different to eat every once in a while.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I am a little younger, but also just moved to Raleigh on Oct. 20, 07 from northern VA. I don't know a single person here and really don't know why I came, I have just always liked the area. Anyone looking for a 21, 22 in two weeks, friend, please reply so we can get to know each other. I work full time and also am looking for a cool roommate. Bye and peace.
